Hakko Soldering School

Hakko Products Pte Ltd was founded in Singapore in 1986 as a joint venture with Hakko Corporation (Japan) and subsequently registered as a 100% locally-owned SME in 2000, with the goal of making high-quality soldering tools more accessible to South East Asia.

Soon, we realized the importance of not only providing our customers with high quality tools, but also to equip them with the knowledge and skills to solder properly. The Hakko Soldering School was thus introduced.

Over the past decade, Hakko Products has been providing training on microsoldering that is compliant with quality standards IEC 61191 and JIS C 61191. The course strictly follows the best-practice standards of Japan Welding Engineering Society (JWES) and upon completion, a certificate is jointly issued and recognised by Hakko Corporation in Japan and Hakko Products in Singapore.

By being equipped with the technical skills and know-how on microsoldering, our customers are now better at identifying common soldering mistakes and how to prevent or correct them. The Soldering Course also guides students on industry-standard techniques to achieve quality soldering, making their soldering much more efficient and effective.

The Hakko Soldering School welcomes both companies and individuals who are looking to improve their soldering skills with a deeper understanding of both theory and practical. Our past students are varied and diverse, including individuals looking to learn soldering and pick up a new skill; a father-son duo who used it as a bonding session; engineers and operators wanting to improve and get better at their work.

We have also provided courses to staff from Nanyang Polytechnic, ST Engineering, Pepperl + Fuchs, Dyson Operations, IFM Electronic, NPI Solutions, Nabtesco Marine Asia Pacific, and C&W Electronics.
