Refund policy

Refunds and exchanges are only applicable for any damaged or defect goods upon delivery. All returns/exchanges must be done within 14-days from delivery date. Failure to return a product within this return period will be deemed as an acceptance of the product. 

  • Not applicable for change of mind items.
  • Not applicable for tips or other consumables not in original packaging. 
  • Any exchange of defect goods has to be to the same item - no changing of different products allowed, even if the price is the same.
  • A SGD20++ restocking fee and any shipping fee (from original order) may be deducted from your refunded amount if item is not deemed damaged/defective upon quality check. 
  • No refund applicable if item is found to be damaged due to usage, mis-handling, negligence, wear and tear, user error or negligence, etc. In such cases, customer may choose to collect the item, or allow Hakko to dispose it at our discretion. In cases of no response from the customer, the item will be disposed of after 30 days. 
  • For product issues after 14 days, please view our warranty policy

Please contact HAKKO’s Customer Support Division at sales@hakko.com.sg before returning the product.

Refunds or exchanges will not be entertained if the parcel is returned without prior notice and confirmation from Hakko Products Pte Ltd. It will be disposed of at our discretion. 

Please prepare the following information:

  • Customer Name, Contact Number, Email
  • Order number
  • Serial number of product (if applicable)
  • Reasons for return
  • Requested services: return/exchange
  • Condition of goods
  • Return shipping address

Conditions for return/exchange
Kindly return all products in the original state, including all original boxes with packing materials, all manuals, blank warranty cards, accessories, invoice(s) and any other documentation included with the original shipment. Approval is contingent upon, among other things, the products being in the same condition when delivered.

Will I be compensated for shipping costs?
Please note that the customer is responsible for all the shipping charges to and from HAKKO’s premises for all products being returned. The shipping cost from the original purchase is also non-refundable. 

Insurance on Return shipping
The customer is responsible for all risk of loss and damage to products being returned. For big ticket items, it is recommended to use a trackable shipping service or purchase shipping insurance. Alternatively, you may deliver the product to our office personally. Please fully insure the return shipment in case of loss or damage and use a carrier that provides proof of delivery such as UPS or FedEx. We will send a confirmation e-mail upon receiving the returned products.

Exemptions to Refunds
Sale and Special Items are not applicable for refunds. Hakko Soldering Classes are also not subjected to refunds. No cancellations or returns will be accepted after the order has been placed.

  • Sale items are defined as those with a discounted price as shown from the product page. 
  • Special items are defined as those items purchased from HAKKO through that are specified to be non-returnable during purchase, made-to-order, or are no longer supported due to discontinuation.

Refund
Money will be returned to the original account within 15 business days.
