Related soldering equipment
| Equipment Classification | Core Hakko Solutions | Primary Operational Function | Manufacturing & Compliance Benefit |
| Thermal Profiling & QA | Hakko FG-100B / FG-101B Thermometers | Real-time digital testing of soldering tip temperatures and grounding voltage. | Ensures strict compliance with IPC-J-STD-001 and ISO standards; ensures consistent soldering processes and prevents overheating sensitive traces. |
| Infrared Pre-Heaters | Hakko FR-870B / FR-872 | Direct thermal bottom-up preheating for dense printed circuit boards. | Gradual pre-heating minimizes thermal shock; prevents micro-cracking in multi-layer PCBs and heavy ground planes. |
| Precision Handling | Hakko 392 / 394 Vacuum Pick-Up | ESD-safe pneumatic and cordless vacuum component manipulation. | Replaces clumsy tweezers; ensures safe, scratch-free placement of delicate SMD and micro-BGA components. |
| Material Ergonomics | Hakko 611 Solder Reel Stands | Tangled-free, smooth dispensing of wire solder alloy reels. | Organizes the workbench layout, speeds up manual assembly times, and maintains wire integrity. |
Why do we need a thermometer to test the temperature of the soldering tip?
While Hakko Soldering stations are manufactured with a temperature variance of ±1℃, the actual thermal delivery at the tip face can fluctuate due to wear and oxidation, as well as depending on the tip's thermal capacity (affected by shape and size). The Hakko FG-100B and FG-101B Tip Thermometer provides independent, traceable temperature verification directly at the tip point. Some Hakko units like the FX-971 soldering station pairs with the FG-100G and FG-101B to wirelessly off-set the temperature of the soldering station.
Regular testing with a calibrated thermometer ensures your workflow stays strictly compliant with international quality standards like IPC-J-STD-001.
