Recommended Soldering Tips for Soldering Chip Parts

While shapes BC/C, B and D can be used for soldering chip parts, the BC/C shapes are recommended to form the ideal fillet and the best soldering joint.

BC Chip Soldering

Put the cut surface to the board and drag the tip slowly while feeding solder.

NOTE: Some IC are specified by the manufacturer not to be touched on the electrode by tip end.

Shape B (more info)

B Chip Soldering

Put the tip to the board and drag the tip slowly while feeding solder.

NOTE: Some IC are specified by the manufacturer not to be touched on the electrode by tip end.

Shape D (more info)

Shape D Chip Soldering

Put the tip end to the board and drag the tip slowly while feeding solder.
