Adjusting the Solder Pot's Temperature

FX-301 Soldering Pot

The Hakko FX-301 Soldering Pot is equipped with a digital indicator of pot temperature to enable correct temperature control. Simply change the temperature by pressing the up or down buttons to the right temperature. 

FX-300 Soldering Pot

The Hakko FX-300 Soldering Pot is an analog-type in which the temperature is adjusted by turning a knob. 

The knob temperature indication is a reference temperature. Note that actual temperature may vary depending on individual product differences and usage methods.

Approximate temperatures:

1-3 200°C (400°F) 200°C (400°F)
3-4 300°C (570°F) 300°C (570°F)
4-5 400°C (750°F) 350°C (660°F)
5-6 450°C (840°F) 380°C (720°F)

Temperature Measurement

Connect the A1310 Temperature Probe for the solder pot to the Hakko FG-101B Soldering Tester or the Hakko FG-100B Thermometer and insert the end to of the probe into the center of the solder in the pot to measure the temperature.

The temperature indicated on the FX-301 and the thermometer may differ sometimes due to the work environment. In this case, adjust the offset value according to the instruction manual.
