Features
Micro Hot Air For Efficient Rework of Fine Components
The FR-850 has an increased power of 112W, giving stable temperature in a shorter operation time. This makes it suitable for high heat capacity and high heat dissipation PCBs. With nozzles of ⌀1-3mm, the FR-850 enables rework of micro components on heavily populated boards without affecting surrounding components. Bent and thin nozzles also provide better reach and visibility for precision work when using a microscope.
Easy, User-Friendly Controls
Easily control the hot air with a button on the FR-8501 Iron, or with the big button on top of the FR-850 unit. Adjusting the settings is simple too, use the four buttons to configure to temperatures in increments of 1°C and air volumes in increments of 5%. Equipped with an auto shutoff function, the station also reduces unnecessary power consumption and wear and tear on the equipment.

Space Saving Design
The compact design is 55% smaller than conventional models, giving more space and flexibility on the workstation.
New and Improved, Multi-Functional Iron Holder
The newly designed iron holder includes an Auto-Cooling Function that automatically initiates cooling when the iron is placed in the holder. An integrated tip removal attachment conveniently stores up to four nozzles, at the same time making nozzle changes faster and safer. Additionally, a A1557 sensor can be connected to the holder and, when used with the FG-101B, allows for accurate measurement of the hot air temperature emitted from the handpiece.
Software and Infrared Communication
When paired with a tip thermometer (FG-100B or FG-101B), temperature correction and calibration can be performed automatically via infrared signals. When connected to a PC, the provided software allows tracking and recording of hot air temperature settings, calibration, correction, and history - providing review and analysis with ease.
