Before choosing your pattern, we’ll explore each piece and take a look at the finished pieces to choose from.
Although these patterns are fixed, some provide an opportunity to customize as your heart desires, creating a design that is from the heart, one of a kind!
3. Learn the Art of Soldering (10mins)
Your instructor will introduce soldering techniques, rooted in the Tiffany method developed in the late 19th century:

Understanding the role of copper foil, flux, and solder.

Practicing steady, even soldering lines that both strengthen and beautify your design.
-
Learning about safety and care with hot tools.
You’ll discover how this technique revolutionized glass art by allowing for finer, more intricate designs.
4. Create Your Piece (60-90 mins)
Now it’s your turn to bring your design to life!
You’ll solder and assemble your glass pieces, guided step-by-step by your instructor. As you work, we’ll discuss how artists use texture and linework to give character and emotional depth to their work.

After soldering, you’ll clean and polish your piece, then attach a hanging chain.
We’ll take a moment to appreciate how the light transforms your creation!
6. Show & Tell + Take Home (10mins)
We’ll end with a short “gallery walk,” celebrating everyone’s completed artworks. You’ll leave not only with a beautiful handmade piece, but also with a new understanding of:
